My point is that you do not need to write any code to update the combo's ControlSource with the foreign key value in the combo's RowSource. All you need to do is to set the Combo's BoundColumn to the column number of the RowSource that contains the foreign key and set BoundTo to true (since it is an integer).
Agreed and if such a cbo does also this, well that is just what the doctor ordered. I have problems if I forget to populate the ReplaceID() function, this is just it. Thanks a lot, wil the KeyPress() you shared with me be the ticket? or is there more codes required for such a auto-complete combo box class
