You just have to backup the folder with the mail database.

To locate this folder, take a look at the option dialog, maintenance page, there is a button labelled "store folder".
Click on it to see the folder.
Backup this folder, you will be able to import the content later after your reinstall of outlook.

Dont forget to also backup your address book!
You can search your computer for a *.wab file or simply export the current address book from the file menu.
