>Yes, I lived in Panama from 1989-1991.

Hopeful days, those. Getting rid of Noriega was a nice present from the US, thanks.

>I was in Colon, El Valle, Santiago, Penonome, La Palma, Boquete, David, and Chitre as well a few other locations. I spent the most time in Penonome. My favorite spots were El Valle and Santa Clara Beach. So close to each other but so different!

Santa Clara is a beautiful beach. We have a better road there now.

>While La Palma was a beautiful location, it is a little too 'rustic' to visit by choice! :o) I enjoyed the huge hotel in Boquete (rumors were it was built for the mob?)

I heard those rumors, but you can't believe everything you hear.

>For a change of pace and most of my shopping was done in Panama City or Colon. Panama is one of the most beautiful countries in the world if not THE most beautiful.

Thank you. Come back sometime. Right now the new installment of Survivor is being filmed in the Perlas Islands.

>Now, if the sharks would only leave the Chargers (We called it Shagres) River!

That would make it boring!

Alex

>>>How come your city shows up as 'Panama' now? Don't you live in Panama City?
>>
>>We call our city just 'Panama'. Americans call it Panama City, to distiguish it from the country I guess.
>>
>>>By the way, do they still have an 8pm curfew law in Panama City for minors?
>>
>>Not that I know. Sounds like you may have lived here once.
>>
>>Tonight we are having Miss Universe here. I'll watch it on TV.
