I'm not the only one with the problem. My machines are all fully uptodate on O/S and IE patches.
Blindly setting everything to default is just plainly not a solution. Finding out what causes the problem and seeing if that setting
can be changed is what I'm seeking to find here.
>Since you are the only person that "suffers" this particular, fastidious and very strange IE6 behavior I would suggest to download&install all Windows Update patchs (there's a lot of issues regarding IE6) and then set all your settings to default values.
