I seem to be gathering typical problems <bg>.

It is already this way. The controlsource in the col. is (at design time) view.cDesc, the controlsource of the cbo is also view.cDesc (ideally it would have been view.iItemID, which automatically changes to view.cDesc, but it is working this way???) but still loose focus and it shows the iItemID ?!? <g>
