Title:
Update DLL while in use
I have a DLL I created with Fox. Keep a copy on each users local drive and registered on their system. I update it with an Apploader that runs my applications before the application launches. Once the application launches and uses the DLL, I can't update the DLL. This is not a problem on most systems since there is a single user.
However, for users on Terminal server, there are many users and its very likely that another user will be using the DLL when it needs to be updated. Is there a way other than giving each user their own copy of the DLL to be able to update the DLL while it is in use.
I create the object from the DLL once in the application and keep that reference alive thruout the app. I could release the object after each use, but I don't really want to do that if I can help it.
Thanks.
