Michael,
It sounds like you are losing your READ EVENTS.
You can create an ON SHUTDOWN of:
on shutdown *
which will keep VFP from closing when the main window X button is clicked.
>I would like to keep the Main VFP window open after all Top Level forms have closed and all that’s left in the window is a navigation toolbar and the main menu. I’d prefer to not show the Main VFP window at all but that creates problems with where to put menus and toolbars. If I can keep the main window open to hold the toolbars and menus, the user can resize it and moved out of the way when needed.

>The problem is that when the close box is clicked on the last form in the Main VFP window the entire app shuts down. How can I keep the Main VFP window open so the user can continue making selections from the navigation toolbar and main menu?
