In looking these questions I have one regarding updating a files from SQL via ODBC by one person and I would obtain the updated field via VFP.

(e.i. Through ODBC I have a person updating the file from there application say SQL statements and I need to see the updated field from VFP. However, I have to close the file and reopen it from VFP before I can see the updated field). Is there a way to do a flush or buffering through VFP without closing the file to see the updated field? Also, I update the another field which he can not see unless I close the file and reopen it as well.

Any thoughts or sugestions are greatly appreciated.
