In other words, if you don't: 1) call them or 2) send them a snail mail or 3) visit them in person or 4) send an email, they will never know about the product and services.

The definition of SPAM varies from one person to another. For example, I know someone that says that any unsollicitated email is a SPAM. So, that means, any email from someone that I don't know and that I never requested is unsollicitated, thus SPAM. This is pretty rough as far as definition goes.

Some others will say that a SPAM is a SPAM if they hate the email. But, the same email received at someone else would be ok.

Some others will say that if the email is sent from someone in the same business as the them, such as someone here, a vendor, who will announce his event, it'd be ok. Some others will simply jump in the air.

Some others will say that if the email is about a product they like, it's not. But, receiving an email about advertising something that they never used and don't want to hear about it, it'd be a SPAM.

So, this definition is extremely large from one individual to another. The same goes for any entity in this area who are sending or fighting them.
