Hi Thomas:

PMFJI.

>Did you find CodeMine difficult to learn?

Codemine is quite easy to learn.

>How's the walkthroughs and documentation?

The sample application is very good. The documentation is good too, but newbies often complain about the lack of "examples", despite the fact that the framework PEM's are fairly well documented. However, the documents have gone through a transition from a paper based manual (that was great) to an HTML based file. This is getting better through each version so, you would be coming into the fold at the right time <s>.

>My skill level with VFP is beginner to intermediate but as a programmer I've developed projects with RPG IV on the IBM AS/400 and most recently an enterprise wireless/mobile project using Microsoft's Embedded Visual Tools (mostly eVB with ADOCE for data access). I'm only mentioning this so that you might guage the learning curve I should expect with CodeMine.

It sounds like you have plenty of experience. I found that Codemine helped me understand VFP to a greater extent than I knew it. I started using Codemine in 1998 from a predominently Foxpro 2.6 background. Whilst I had done some VFP development, it was nothing to speak of. So, I dont think you will struggle. Plus, you get plenty of help from this forum.
