Hi Tracy;

I missed that one. I wish I could have seen it! I'm always curious why the question even exists at all as to whether or not Iraq had/has WMD.

Your curiosity has no justification. Why? Because there are NO f**’n proof about it. Remember: “everybody is innocent unless…etc”

After all, it was in 1998 that it was determined that Iraq indeed did possess WMD and later on came the 15-0 vote that Iraq did not meet the UN requirements for proving the WMD were disposed of adequately.

Really? Who determined that? And… where were they? It’s ok to have a couple of papers (doubtful source) but… where was that WMD? I’m not saying: “There’s no WMD” but please, let’s measure everything/everybody with the same.

There was no question then whether or not WMD existed. The question came later when the inspectors could no longer find them as to where did they go? If Saddam did dispose of his WMD and not hide or move them, then why not prove to the UN that he did so?

Saddam, in spite of his cruelty and sadism, had/has NOTHING to prove. UN & US did the job, and in this specific matter UN=US, as you and EVERYBODY know.
US “desperation” to gain control has the true answer. (again… as the 85% of the planet know)

After all, he could have avoided losing power in Iraq entirely had he done so. Where are they now? They certainly are somewhere (hidden, underground, in Syria, who knows) and the threat still existed in my personal opinion.

Now you are completely right (IMO). The threat exists but is not the same threat (WMD which never was proved). Now we have (yes…WE, since I’m living in Miami…nice target because its Jewish population and 2 or 3 more factors) a REAL threat. No the bull (bleep) shown before the war (may I say war? It’s almost funny!) such as “Terrorism Alert Colors” (what a shame) but a real threat coming from Arabs countries. Still to come. (Not to mention Israel)
