Hi Cathy,

Thank you for the reply. I tried your suggestion of dropping the image slightly but it made no difference. What I WAS able to do, was to move the image to the footer area then make the detail band the width of the text. Then I used the up arrow key to push the image object back into the detail band until the top was level with the top of the text object. This left the image object 'hanging' into the footer, but it did actually work!

My only problem now, is that the third party file output software I use (XFRX) doesn't support the image hanging into the footer band.

If you come up with any other suggestions, I would be very pleased to hear of them.

>Unfortunately .. what is happening is that the RW looks at everything that is in the same horizontal space as the picture .. and only if EVERYTHING else suppressed, does it remove the space. Because you have the text to the left and the picture to the right .. occupying the same horizontal space .. the RW doesn't think it can get rid of the space.
