The cost was $59 per Card and I needed two so $118 Plus Tax. As for it being secure you can choose 64 and 128 bit encryption between the two computers. I ensure that the network is encrypted as that is the safest thing to do. The only con to the whole setup is it is not as fast as a wired network, but the speed is very good for what I wish to do and I have the capability to add on in the future.

So I went to Staples and purchased two Belkin wireless Network cards. They just plug into any open PCI slot. You install the software then the card. Then I chose to use an Adhoc Encrypted Network. So when the XP boots up it is configured and ready to go. When the Win 98 boots up I have the Belkin software to run on start up. It scans the air for the other card and when found I double click on it to set the Network. So easy even my kids can get it up and running.
