That's a good point - I hadn't thought about offline views. My next project involves multiple inventory locations (trucks) that serialized product is sold from. That sounds like the perfect application - thanks for the thought.

As for the Firebird SQL: Since my framework handles the data transparently (SQL or VFP tables) using views exclusively, I developed the application for the most restrictive environment, SQL, where it works perfectly. We switched one line of code, did some local table testing and delivered the application using VFP tables - SQL wasn't in the proposal. All "appeared" to work just fine, until the phone call that started this thread... Clients! Yeesh!
