Yes, the timer is constantly enabled. It begins with an Interval of zero, and then gets upgraded to 1000 immediately after calling the SQLEXEC. I've tried your suggestion and the result is the same, a blank textbox! Within debugger, the timer event is definitely firing, but whenever you reach the timer event and then click on 'Step' then the code disappears! Further confusion to me!
