I went back to VFP 6 and it seemed to work. I don't have VFP 7 but VFP 8 it restores but if you activate the screen it disapears. And in VFP 5 it seemed that the restore didn't do anything.
So I think the problem is the restore isn't working. You could add it to the vFP bug list or go back to VFP6Charles
