Does it work if you remove the ALLTRIM()?

>Hi all - Running Stonefield 6.1b, VFP 7.0, and Mere Mortals 7.1. Have a table in the dbc and trying to add an index through Stonefield Explorer. Index is 4 charachter fields, each alltrimmed. After adding an index to bottom of list, entering the expression, then clicking on save the changes, I get an error message, tag lcvbs is invalid, database is invalid, please validate. click ok and all indexes for that table are wiped out. Have not seen this behaviour before. Any thoughts? Thanks much. Tom
