>I am not sure WHERE in VFP or HOW in VFP I can change the Ibeams outside of a form so that it takes affect on the _screen (as when running .sprs in VFP). I cannot use form properties to do this (well I can, but not exclusively) because some .sprs are running in this app too so I've been trying to change the text edit cursor using the windows api to no avail..

I gotcha, I've seen a couple of your posts about some SPR problems (which I used to be pretty good at, but now...)

Hmm...I don't know what to tell you, as everything I've done for 3-4 years or more has been strictly vfp. My solution path for your problem would be exactly like yours: go to API calls to do what you want (but we know there are problems with this).

Of course you can change Ibeams easily enough on _screen, but it won't affect the objects within _screen (though I haven't tested using SPRs). I guess you've tried this too?

Sorry I can't be of much help - it may not be possible to do what you want, given that the API cursor calls no longer work, when mixing vfp and SPRs, but that's only a WAG.
