You compare oranges with apples:
WEB .net vs LOCAL vfp
LOCAL .NET = 20+ megs setup for runtimes
LOCAL VFP6 = 3.25 megs setup for runtimes
Web vfp = 0 runtimes - btw this site was VFP web :-)
Web .Net = 0 runtimes
For vfp web apps, there is some framworks that help build robust apps
(see web-connection or activevfp for instance)
