yes, documentation is ambiguous, bat read it with attention i can understand
this:
data is store in fixed point
computation is done in float point.
First: this is out of every computation rule.
But, big problem is:
on microsoft SQL DECIMAL(X,Y) is fixed point, and computation is done in fixed point mode;
when i read data from MSQL backend, D(X,Y) is traslate in N(X,Y).
Another big problem:
if i want use precise stock calculation with 3 or more decimals i can't do it
on VFP !
if i want use financial calculations with more 4 decimals ( currency support 4 decimals ) i cannot do this in VFP.
I must conclude that VFP is not adapted to develop financial programs or of management of the supplyes.
I'm a lot surprised.
