Thanks cindy, i actually have 8 but i must work in 6 and 7 as we have application built in these which would require a lot of testing to bring them up to eight. i use eight now for any new apps but it will be some time before all systems are migrated to 8 (9 may be out at that stage :-))

I was able to duplicate this problem in VFP7 but not in VFP8. Time to upgrade? If you need to you can be careful to not use any of the new features in your applications, but take advantage of the development tools in VFP8 and then recompile in VFP7 for distribution.
