I have put sp5 on Windows XP machines without a problem. Must be something to do with the machine setup.
Personally I would stick with Win 2K. I run 10 installations - one with XP. The win2k machines run apps faster and I have far fewer funnies on VFP - just a personal opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!
