Craig,
>BTW, I did try the requery() function and notice that it only works on the local or remote views and not on a free tables in the DBC(makes sense). With a remote view and table both in browses mode, I issued a =requery('view1') in the VFP7.1 command window and Walla! I updated the table from the view changes.
Look at the settings on the Data page of Tools/Options for free tables.

>Now, guessing how he is issuing the SQL commands, and suppose there are just free tables in the DBC, what has to take place when I do and rlock() replace.. and unlock for his program to see the changes? Again, I probably have to know how he is issuing the commands in detail in order for me to ensure some update I do will be seen by him, right?
You two are going to have to work out some update collision scheme amongst yourselves.
