NT4 Problem: Trying to install the vfp8 runtimes. I had to make a separate ISX setup for NT (as opposed to XP), as NT4 could not "find" the runtimes when they're placed in Program Files...MS Shared...Common. A special ISX NT setup puts the runtimes in System32, which works (not very surprisingly). That means extracting the vfp8 DLLs to install, rather than from MSMs.

Other than that, vfp apps compiled in vfp8 seem to run okay on NT4 (with the proviso you don't use vfp8 Themes). I have to live with some users on NT4 for a couple more months, and then, well, good riddance to the aging NT4.

I think NT4 is eligible for social security or medicare or something <g>
