Hmmm ... could there be something funky in your code for the control in the constructor of the class? This might affect things when the control is dropped on a form. Unfortunately, someone else may have to jump in here if it's something particular to VB (I use C#).

>No dice. I am still having the same problem. At first I was creating the user control inside the project that was using it. When I looked for a reference I couldn't find one anywhere. If I removed it from the project and then added it back, I still get the same problem. So I created a windows control library project and recreated the control. When I added it as a reference, it did not show up in the tool box, I had to manually customize the tool box and add my control, but when I tried to add it to the form, I still got the same error. Removing the reference and adding it again is not working. Any other suggestions. Could it be there is an error in my control that is not showing up in the build? Thanks for the help.
