>Does anybody know of a way to mimic "stretch if overflow" behavior for an image in a VFP report? I have a report that has a JPG image in the detail band, and there is an image for some records but not for others. I currently have a 1-inch-tall detail band that allows room for the image, but for the records that don't have an image that's a lot of wasted white space. Ideally, I'd like to have the records without images print on a single line (a short detail band) and the ones with images print in a taller detail band. Is there a way to do this?

Hmm, I can't think of any way to do what you want. However, you could consider creating a placeholder .JPG for those records that don't have one - it would simply say "No Image Available" or words to that effect - maybe with company logo, etc. That way, each row would at least look semi-consistent and it might provide some indirect motivation for the users to input images where they don't currently exist.
