Al,

I put 3rd party memory in the old box when I upgraded it from 64 to 192 last year. The new box had a deal of the day to ship with 512. I'll have to tuck Crucial away for future reference.

>True enough. Dell overcharges for memory beyond its "base" specs. Add Crucial's low prices to the fact that they seem to know memory specs for Dell machines better than Dell does and that's where I go first. After being sent incompatible parts by Dell for two separate PowerEdge servers (in one case twice, ordered by service tag on-line then by a real live human who swore up and down that the second part would work), then having Crucial deliver the right part first time, well, I'm a convert.
