Barry,

There is a lot of nostalgia around here for the 16-bit days of Clipper. Things were simpler then.

Instead of settling for Clipper you may want to check out Max 2.0, a 32-bit compiler for Clipper (and others). It's at http://www.plugsys.com/products/max20/

I agree with the others that your best bet is probably to get your client to agree to move out of Clipper into VFP. If that's not an option, using something like Max will make the project easier to deal with.
