I did use Clipper up to version 5.3 in the past.

You can compile the EXE with a "debug" option that will invoke a debug screen via a hotkey.
There also was a popup TSR, the Norton Guides, which provided a detailed reference.
If you like, I'll see if I can find the Help file and some compile examples.
