Hi Doug,

I too have come across this same issue and I believe it is a MS VFP bug. I solved it by making the detail band the same height as the single line of text, but have the image in the footer band. I then 'select' the image and use the cursor keys to move the image up into the detail band so that the top of the image object sits along the top of the detail band, but the image object hangs through the footer border and into the footer area.
Trust me, it works....

Regards...Rex

>Does anybody know of a way to mimic "stretch if overflow" behavior for an image in a VFP report? I have a report that has a JPG image in the detail band, and there is an image for some records but not for others. I currently have a 1-inch-tall detail band that allows room for the image, but for the records that don't have an image that's a lot of wasted white space. Ideally, I'd like to have the records without images print on a single line (a short detail band) and the ones with images print in a taller detail band. Is there a way to do this?
