It's not true the only output is as a textfile via VFP 5.0. VFP support general fields not only on screen view, but editing, and printing as well. To transfer to MSWord I couldn't find a way for general field yet (I mean direct transfer via ODBC). TO print a gen field from VFP you put it on report. See an example for this in tastrade.app (Employee data with photo).
