I want to drag a field onto my target form in design mode. This works like a champ if the target form is instantiated with CreateObject(), but not in design mode.

Oh, I see. I thouhght you were trying to build a builder for your forms, pages and other containers. That sort of thing would hook into VFP's builder technology and would be available when the form is in design mode.

However, I do not know of any way that you could drag and drop from your builder to your form because (to the best of my knowledge) builder form classes are modal.
