I've had a 'rash' of users (about 4 of 175) calling in about some (usually one specific) report throwing Error 1958 (Error loading printer driver) about which help says: "An internal call to the LoadLibrary( ) function has failed. Visual FoxPro calls this function through either PRTINFO( ) or SET PRINTER TO."

The source code line is something like REPORT FORM ordlist TO PRINT PROMPT PREVIEW WINDOW repwindow, and I'm not using PRTINFO() or SET PRINTER TO.

The common thread is that they have recently upgraded to (or bought a new computer with) Windows XP, and they have a Hewlett-Packard printer. I suggest upgrading to the latest and greatest XP driver for their specific model, but that does not always solve the problem. Next I suggest downgrading to a more generic driver.

One model that I have specifics on is an HP OfficeJet (all-in-one) V40.

The app is compiled to an .exe in VFP6 SP3, and printer-specific info has been stripped from the reports prior to compilation.

A search here on the UT returns a few dozen messages, and it seems I've done everything that is suggested as a solution.

Anything else I should be looking into?
