>>>If you folks are talking about Vladimir's resize class.......he will kindly send the source code if asked. I use it as part of my framework and it saved me a bundle of time. I couldn't use it without the source for outside reasons. Works quite nicely.....and yes, I did do some modifications to the source. I did offer payment for the source code....which he could not accept do to monetary situations in his country. I did however work out a solution with him. You might ask him what that was, it was a past topic of a thread here.

It seems to me in reading this thread that some people would have the nerve to complain about something that is free. And they begrudge a programmer a few bucks for the source.

>Just my $.02 worth, but I WOULD be willing to pay for stuff like this.. I can understand why the author did NOT include the source code.. People are NOT always as nice as they seem and will abuse any act of kindness you give. I for one am GLAD there are people out there willing to give back to the community in this way (with tools like this and GenmenuX).. And if there is a small cost involved, so what.. Remember there is NO such thing as a free lunch..

I totally agree with you. I hope you did not think I was criticizing you or Steve Despres. I apologize if my note was not clear. I also would not include source code in any free distribution. As the saying goes "Why buy the cow when milk is free." And on the other side I would not use "tools" from individuals in any critical application without the source.
