Most of the ones I've seen are written in C...this one is a good example

>I know there are lots of Visual Basic programs out there that work with yahoo messanger, and it is very similar to VFP. Does anyone know how to do this with Visual Foxpro?

>mmmm...well I have no clue. I was thinking you could convert the java code to VFP code or maybe use the browser activex or something - but like I said I really don't know...maybe someone else out here can help you out with that one...
>The other thing you need to keep in mind is that Yahoo is known for rejecting logins for their instant messenger system from cloned clients. I know that them and Trillian had been going at each other for some time because Yahoo kept making modifications to reject Trillian logins, and it seems the one being used by the Miranda clone also has problems as of last night now too- so even if you do get it to work, it might only work for a little while.

>>Actually this seems to have all the stuff I need to do what I need to do, but how do you add the class java.lang.Thread and initiate the hamsam.protocol.yahoo.YahooProtocol to be able to use the yahoo functions in a Visual Foxpro program? I am kind of at a loss here on how to get the class added to my project and use the functions it contains.

>>http://hamsam.sourceforge.net/javadoc/hamsam/protocol/yahoo/YahooProtocol.html might help you out. I also know that the miranda ICQ gizmo on sourceforge has a yahoo protocol plug in, so that might help you out as well. Do you need to just SEND messages, or do you need to see contact list and recieve messages as well?

>>>I am working on a program and would like to provide a user access to log into and send messages (IM) to a specified person logged into yahoo messenger from within my program and give the ability to send contents of text boxes etc. to the user via Instant Message. Does anyone know how to integrate yahoo messanger into visual fox programs and work with it in these ways as stated?
