Aashish,

Sorry, but I dont make my question very clear.
I know that the positive number in SQLStringConnect() means that I have a succesfully connection to SQL Server.
But my problem is, that after creating a connection in a remote station using ADSL, and because the poor quality of Telecomunication in Brazil, connection sometimes can fall before I send an Update/Insert/Delete statement to SQL server, after edit/insert/delete records in the form.
So I would like to test if my actual connection from the station works sending a ping to the server.
If the connection is fine, I send the statement to the server, if it fails I try to reconnect to the server calling SQLStringConnect, and if it Fails verify if somethig else is wrong.

Hope I made the problem clear and the reason to make something like a ping to SQL.

Thanks in advance

Peter
