I knew I could get you going :-) I just prowled around MS looking for a place to submit a request for assistance. Amongst the myriad products to chose from, IE was noticeably lacking. Looks like payback time to me. All avenues I have followed so far come up to a "Product ID". I have already been to their "managed" newsgroups for this problem to no avail. "Cannot reproduce" to "reinstall windows" to "buy a new computer". Rubbish.
Interesting you comments about Office - most users around here are overwhelmed with '97 - you couldn't give them an upgrade :-) What more do we need in a word processor or spreadsheet? Only by obsoleting the OS will they force the upgrades.
>Well I've submitted a ER to MS product Feedback because I want ANY window that I set to re-open exactly as I set it. This includes not only size, but font size and whatever else.

>MS needs to realize that little irritations add up to disdain overall and only help push people to MAC or Linux or ???

>Office is still my most peevious product. It has irritations and bugs going back to 97 that remain today. I still don't know if I'll upgrade to 2003 even if it is MSDN! Office XP is worse than 2000 which is worse than 97 (with SPs)!

>But BY FAR the worst irritation of all is USELESS MOUSING. I'd bet big bucks that if MS took a poll of regular users and put "Redundant Mouse Action Requirements" in the list (with a bit of explanation) it would be the TOP irritation, hands down!
>Menus particularly bother me because I OFTEN want to do 2+ actions from a menu. Now, of course, I have to click the pad, move the mouse to what I want (first), click it and then the menu disappears. So now I have to move the mouse BACK to the pad, move it to another item I want, click it and then it disappears. So then I have to move the mouse back to the pad, click it, move the mouse down.,...... ALL FOR NO SENSIBLE REASON!$@#!$@#!
