I just installed a beta version of a VFP 8 app for a client today and it somehow managed to get it in such a mess that I had to EndTask on it. (blush blush blush). No errors but it 'lost its mind' so to speak.

Anyway, the probelm that lead to EndTask seems somewhat like what you are telling us.
