A menu opened stoped a timer from firing in VFP3, but not in VFP5. In VFP 5, only a right-click menu (and only in the same app) will stop a timer.

Even in VFP3, a timer doesn't stop if a menu is activated in a different app.

>Wouldn't any timer (VFP or otherwise) be subject to the same problems that would keep Window's own timer from firing? Open any application with a menu and press the alt key. Your screen saver won't go off because the menu has the focus.
