>I need to create a shortcut on the desktop (in FPD26 we used to do it by creating a .pif file using fcreate and storing it in c:\windows for win95/98 users) for all users of Win95, Win98, W2k, and WXP. This will need to run in both FPD26 and VFP7/8. However, I would settle for VFP7/8 for right now. Since the desktop folder is stored in a different location on the harddrive depending on the OS version, has anyone already figured out an easy way to do this?

For creating shortcuts, I used, with great success, the download provided by George Tasker. However, this is for Visual FoxPro, and will probably not work with FoxPro.

The download also provides functions that return special folders, like the desktop, for instance.
