I experimented a couple of days with the combo boxes, and got it almost completely right now. Except for one ridiculous thing:

even though the .displayvalue does contain the right information, also .value and listindex, the damned thing does NOT display the right thing in the combo-box.

What can I do?

I tried the following: just a .setfocus() in the form, and then I got the displayvalue right, but (!!!)
when I do immediately after that a .setfocus() to another object, it does NOT do that !

I don't find any method or property that can help me.

Can you help me?
