This is a document dated January, distributed by the US Department of State, saying that it does not matter whether SH has WMD or not, he needs to be punished. It seems to say that pressure was put on Blix to find WMD (which you previously said was not his job) and contradicts what President Bush and Powell said later.

I can only assume your point is that by January it was already decided that Iraq was in the firing line, all that was needed was a pretext?

I also note:

"We UNSCOM inspectors simply did not have the resources to win a game of hide and seek. The same is true today [i.e. in January with Blix]. The number of inspectors was always terribly small -- seldom more than 300 in the country at any one time. And we were totally outclassed by Iraqi security, which had managed to infiltrate the United Nations in Vienna and New York, as well as the Bahrain office of UNSCOM. "

What is the excuse today? Still nothing found.

As I've said before, I truly hope that somebody finds a WMD soon because, as Blix used to say, if people demand "proof" then the only definite proof is finding a WMD, until then there is only "evidence" and probability.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
