>I couldn't make it to Devcon this year, but I went to an insurance industry specific conference at Walt Disney World in May. It was the Acord Conference. Now that was expensive! 206.00 each night for the room plus tax and a resort fee of 15.00 per day was ridiculous. It was at the Walt Disney Dolphin which was really about average as far as amenities. If you didn't rent a car it was even more expensive as even snacks were outrageously priced, let alone meals. So many complained that next year the conference will be held in Las Vegas! I imagine more will attend then... :o)

DevCon was a the Dolphin in '93. I think the rooms were $212 + other fees 10 years ago!
