Different time frames. Looking at the table I added to that wiki topic we go from 1 conference to 5 or 6 and then down to 3 or 4. But the total number of people across how many ever conferences there were each year is nearly constant.

>Well, that's exactly my point. We now have 3 conferences in the US (DevCon, eFox, and WhilFest). In the past we had more ("DevCon, FoxTeach, WhilFest, SouthernCal, MidWest, Advisor VFP Con, and even a number of smaller events..."). So the concept of dilution doesn't make a lot of sense to me here...
