I must be missing something here. When is there time at DevCon, other than Sunday (for which a day at the pool seems sufficient), to worry about sightseeing? On Monday, I left my room at 7:45 AM and didn't get back there, even to drop off my computer, until about 1:30 AM. The other days weren't quite as packed, but the point is that when sessions are done, you hang out with other developers and form relationships that pay off in tons of ways. That's why I don't mind going to Milwaukee in November; the city is irrelevant.
