Sure, afterall, they still have to pay for the airfare and the hotel. I don't see how the Devcon could be a moneymaker for MSFT anyway and it seems the goal should be to get as many attendees as possible. I would have no problem with it.

>Not sure I follow. Are you saying someone from the Czech Republic should be able to attend DevCon for 50 bucks, just because that's the price at DevCon there?

>>I have no problem with this. However those attending should have to provide proof of citizenship of the foreign country. What would the cost be to attend the Devcon IF it were held in the foreign country? That would be a reasonable price to charge to attend to those citizens of that country. Hoever, the hotel costs are a different matter entirely. That is based on what the hotel could get to rent the room to anyone and is purely competitive and capitalistic. They cannot rent it for cheaper unless they reap a capitalistic benefit somewhere else or if the room would sit empty and draw no income if it weren't filled by that person. Travel costs are governed by other means entirely. I just don't think there would be enough of a benefit to any foreign developers for it to be worth it. What does VFP cost to purchase in another country whose monetary value is not as high as the U.S. dollar? Do they get a price break? I thought they paid the suggested retail price in their currency
>>with no price break, am I wrong?

>>>I just feel that Advisor needs to offer more pricing levels for Devcon. They told me that they don't offer a government or education discount rate. Then I asked them how much it would be for just a copy of the materials and was told $1,000. that is absolutely crazy.
