I don't know because I can't get a straight answer out of any one from MicroSoft.The statement I recall hearing is that since VFP has its own data engine, all the data stuff would have to be stripped out in order to make it worthy of being included with the rest of the .NET languages (which make use of ADO.NET for data access).
