Jerry,
>What are the different versions of DotNet as in the version number. 2003?
There have been two versions of VS .NET...VS .NET 2002 was released last year and VS .NET 2003 was released this year. I highly recommend VS .NET 2003. It is much faster than its predecessor, fixes a number of bugs, and allows you to create Smart Device applications (Pocket PC, Windows CE).
>Also, what's the differences between the professional and enterprise versions? Will either version allow you to create class libraries?
Here's a link that describes the differences between them:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/productinfo/overview/default.aspxYou can create class libraries with all versions. I personally recommend getting an MSDN Universal Subscription. You don't have to pay Microsoft's price to get it. You can go to price comparison Web sites like
http://www.nextag.com and get it much cheaper (you can even get it on e-Bay).
