I'm not sure anyone cares (or everyone already knows) but Postgres is now available on the windows platform running as a service. It's still free from the good people "PeerDirect". Check out the details from http://techdocs.postgresql.org. For those that don't know Postgres is a full featured database engine that is very close to Oracle. I have been using it on Linux computers only (which works perfectly) but I now have a windows version.
