As I was reading another unrelated thread .. the answer to this problem popped into my head. Mark the picture as "Remove when blank". Then add a horizontal line just beneath the picture .. set the Print When logic to .f. so it never prints .. and mark it as remove when blank.

This should do it for you!!

I currently have a 1-inch-tall detail band that allows room for the image, but for the records that don't have an image that's a lot of wasted white space. Ideally, I'd like to have the records without images print on a single line (a short detail band) and the ones with images print in a taller detail band. Is there a way to do this?
